Hooked 36: Interview with Meghan Ralston
While I was at the International Harm Reduction Conference in April I finally got to meet face to face with Meghan Ralston of the Drug Policy Alliance (DPA). Of course I took the oppotunity to interview her for Hooked.
We talked on a number of drug policy issues from NSP provision in the US through to stigma issues. But the main focus was prescription drug use and overdose (Meghan is the person responsible for developing the DPAs overdose campaign).
I'm afraid that because this was recorded during a conference the sound quality isn't as good as on a normal Hooked podcast.
You can either download the episode directly or better still you can subscribe to the podcast via iTunes which will automatically get each new episode as it comes out.
If you're not someone who has listened to podcasts before, or if you have never even heard of them then we have an introductory article that explains all here.
Shownotes
It was really great to finally meet Meghan in person because I've known her on Twitter for quite a while now (her Twitter ID is @overdosegirl).
Meghan is an amazing activist who works in the US for the Drug Policy Alliance.
You can find the 'Purple ribbon for overdose' campaign on the DPAs website and on the Facebook 'Causes' site.
