Keep Calm & Carry...

Written by Nigel Brunsdon on 26 January 2012.

keepcalmWell it's finally happened, after a couple of years of talking about it (and having wonderful friends nag me) I've started designing Tshirts to help support the costs of running this site.

The first tshirt has been on sale now for a couple of weeks (you see, this is why you should follow me on Twitter or 'Like' the Facebook page, those guys new as soon as I did it). The message is a simple one "Keep calm and carry Naloxone" but although it's simple it's important. We need to raise awareness of Naloxone to the public and to people using opiate drugs. In some areas it's available but for large parts of the UK there has been a resistance from commisioners and services to supply it, this needs to change.

The design itself is based on an unreleased poster from World War II by the Ministry of Information, two other posters had been released as moral boosters and the final one saying "Keep calm and carry on" was planned for release only in the event that the Germans invaded Britan. Now of course it's become an internet meme

You can get the Tshirt in a range of colours (and even on hoodies) there is also an iPhone cover and a range of posters/prints. So go buy some swag and help raise awareness, if you run a service they'd make a great tshirt to wear when delivering an Overdose Workshop.
